Learn the basic bobbin lace stitches for the manipulation of threads and fabric strips. Design and make different shapes, add beads & found objects (bought & hand made). Your ‘sample’ can later be incorporated into your textile work. (maximum 14) |

Design & make a page of Christmas cards and then photocopy them to go into production and make some very professional looking cards. ( A professional colour photocopier needs to be available close by.) |
Not just a flash in the pan, the Embellisher is here to stay and is a very versatile machine. Have a day playing, learning and experimenting with your Embellisher. Jan will demonstrate techniques and be on hand to inspire you in your work. If you do not own an Embellisher, Jan may be able to lend you one. |
Make at least one beautifully decorated & embroidered Christmas Bauble- most people manage two or three in the day. You learn the basic technique and can then apply it and your imagination. pictures |

Colour the velvet, try out designs, embroider (using straight or free machine embroidery and/or hand stitchery), embellish, (using beads and metals) and create a neck purse for your spectacles, or mobile phone, credit card, comb etc or just for show!

Have a day of sampling lots of different ways to transfer images to fabric. There are lots of products on the market and they can be confusing.. let Jan guide you through them and produce a series of samplers which will help you in the future. |
