The Lace Guild Convention at Sheffield
An enjoyable time was had by all. It was great to meet up with so many lace makers.
Jan taught a LetExist workshop on Friday afternoon. The aim of the wokshop is to encourage lace makers to 'have a go' at lace without a pricking. To help them 'free up', a dyed fabric is placed on the pillow, covered by a large sheer fabric. The sheer fabric is ruched up and lace is made in the valleys! The yarn can be anything. Here are a selection of the photographs of work in progress.
If you would like to have a go at LetExist, Jan is teaching a course at the Lace Guild Convention in Worcester. 17th-19th April 2009
