Lots of travelling, lots of family celebrations, a new grandson and some time for lace making!!! Who said I'd have loads of spare time when I semi retired!!!
I enjoy teaching at West Dean and at the Missenden School of Creative Arts as well as belonging to Victory Lace in Portsmouth. I catch up with as many of my lace and textile students whenever I can.
My next course is at West Dean from 23rd-25th October 2017.
I had a fantastic trip to India. We toured around the golden triangle, Varanasi, Jaisalmer , Udapuir and a tent in the desert. A great experience. Sadly I didn't find any bobbin lace , but I found metres and metres of fabric and embroidered textiles to fill my empty suitcase (brought along especially for my shopping!)
My son Simon Tregidgo has also been to India. He is a keen photographer and his photographs are fantastic... you may say that a mum would always say that.. but please look at his web site and I hope that you will agree with me!
I belong to FIMBRIA. We are a group of Textile Artists. I have been writing a blog about our work.. please visit us at http://fimbria-textiles.blogspot.co.uk/
Jan & her mum GG (great grandma) on holiday on the cruise ship Aurora in July 2015. Can you believe my mum is now 90!!! (don't tell her I said so!)
